"This looks odd" you say? Yes, it is an ignition rotor out of *I think* a Porsche 911 (1965-69). It has a small weight that is held in place with a spring. As the rotor spins faster and faster the weight slides out and when the rotor hits 7100 rpm... it grounds out the coil and cuts the spark. A simple rev limiter!

I plan on using either an MSD 6AL or a Pertronix Rev Limiter to go with this distributor so I will remove this rotor and replace it with a standard one.
