06-29-08 Oh Annalisa, how does your garden grow? |
07-30-07 1 ton of 3"to5" and 2 tons of 3/8" Delaware river rock installed in our garden area(s). |
11-18-06 We rented a combination piece of heavy machinery and attacked the bamboo patch. Big tools make big messes! |
04-08-05 Started the raised planting bed project. |
03-25,26,27-05 Cleanup and compost bin construction. |
Summer and Fall of 2004 The destruction of the problem pond and the construction of the Super Shed! |
05-08 and 09-04 I "roto-tilled" and Darlen helped Annalisa plant a bunch of stuff. Next day, I climbed and replaced the plant boxes and Annalisa planted even MORE stuff. It all looks great. |
04-24-04 The University of Delaware Agriculture Department held their annual plant sale and Annalisa and I spent a moderate fortune there. The car was fairly well packed with botanicals. When we got home, I was told to put my back to it and yank out the holly bushes next to the greenhouse. Ouch. |
12-13-03 The pond has frozen over a number of times so
far this winter... but the fish seem fine
if a little slow. |
10-19-03
Yesterday Trina came over and helped Annalisa
cut out all the hollies, boxwoods, and azaleas that were to the left
of the front door. Much to my suprise. So I was, uh... obligated to
do some stumping. Then today Annalisa and I shredded a bunch of
the stuff and yanked some more and cleaned up here and there. |
10-11-03 Did a bit of "bushing" today. We removed a few
holly bushes from the left side of the front entrance and pruned
most of the other bushes in the front yard while we were at it. Also
trimmed the tree in the front yard so that it was no longer
stressing the wire that came from the pole to the water meter. |
10-05-03 We yanked out
the spruces blocking the front walkway. Heavily trimmed the hollys
by the sitting room and greenhouse too. |
09-14-03 Don and Loretta brought the shredder
chipper from WV. We are making good use of it. |
07-21-03 Some of
Annalisa's pictures of the backyard. Taken to evaluate the various
views with the future design changes in mind. |
